Harmful USB drives found in letterboxes
The police in Pakenham are warning residents to be cautious after reports were made last week that corrupt USB flash drive had been left in letterboxes.
Members of the general public have allegedly found unmarked USBs in their letterboxes.
After inserting USB drives into computers, victims experienced fraudulent media streaming services as well as serious issues. This kind of advanced technology is expected to get worse and if you ever come across a usb drive that you are not sure where it came from, throw it away.
USB drives have been deemed to be dangerous and the public is advised to avoid plugging in their devices or computers.
